Grooming is an essential part of your pet's health. Our spa'w has everything you could ever need to assist you in keeping your pet happy, healthy and beautiful.
Our full-service grooming spaw is guaranteed to please your pets. Our products are organic and have your pet's overall health in mind.
Our grooming procedures are as follows: Roughing: Most dogs and/or cats that come into our salon are "roughed". This procedure includes clipping of nails, cleaning ears, pre-clipping (depends on breed), brushing/Dematting (depends on breed), assessment of personality and searching of lumps, bumps, aches and pains the customer may be unaware of. On occasion we have to wash them before ever touching them with the clipper due to the fact that they may be too dirty to rough the coat. In that case we do our head-to-tail assessment while your pet is enjoying their bath. Bathing: Bathing is done right after the roughing procedure. To bathe them, we use a massaging shower head to completely cleanse them. Our system is very similar to your massaging shower head. We only use premium products on our customers' pets. We use a tearless shampoo on the face to ensure maximum safety for our pets' eyes. All pet's are given a conditioning treatment after their shampoo. We also offer de-skunking, deodorizing, and shampoos for problem-skin as well as flea and tick treatments. Our customers who are coming in with pest infestations will be serviced at the end of the day in order to avoid cross-contamination. Customers are welcomed to add any of our additional services to their spa'w package. After each shampoo, a conditioner is applied to re-hydrate your pet's skin and coat. The conditioning treatment also serves to remove any static electricity and detangles the coat as well. It also helps repel dirt off your pet's coat. Forced air drying: Forced air blow drying cuts the drying time in half; therefore reducing kennel drying time drastically. By using the forced air blow dryer, all the loose undercoat is removed in the tub as well as fluffing up the coat to get that extra special look. Kennel drying: Kennel drying is great for animals that don't like the forced air dryer or drying areas of their body that can not be dried with the forced air dryer. Kennel drying takes a little longer, but is far less stressful on the animal who isn't used to being dried with the forced air. We only use room temp dryers. The air never goes above the room temp. This is important since we NEVER want your dog to overheat. We also only use wire kennels that are open on all four sides to allow the air to circulate. We monitor your pet closely when they are in our kennels and also offer them cool water should they need a drink of water and a brief walk in order to relieve themselves if necessary. Towel drying: Towel drying is perfect for small or toy breeds that love to be cuddled and held. Toweling off these animals works very well and is the least stressful on the small pets. Hand fluff drying: The final step to drying is the hand fluff dying. This is performed with a stand dryer combined with brushing up your pet's coat , fluffing and straightening it at the same time. We regularly use the stand dryer to also find growths or mats (tangles) on them, since it works so well separating the coat for easy inspection!! Clipping the dog's coat: After the drying procedures, depending on the breed, we will clip the coat according to the client's wishes, whether it is a regular breed clip or a modified clip requested by the customer. Clipping can be various lengths from surgical to 1-2 inches. Anything longer than that would have to be hand scissored at an additional cost. Hand scissoring costs will be discussed when you are meeting with your groomer and are given your price quote. We disinfect our blades in-between clients and daily as well as our scissors, brushes, tables and other equipment.
